Phantoms in the Bush

An informal event for these most formal of cars!

Time & Location

08 Sept, 9:00 am – 11 Sept, 3:00 pm

Tamworth, Tamworth NSW 2340, Australia

About the Event

A joint RR&BCCNSW/SHRF event. Queen Elizabeth’s 1977 Silver Jubilee Tour included a visit to Tamworth to open the new County Councilheadquarters. The SHRF Phantom V (5VF159) was the car used during the Tamworth visit. As a commemoration of this event, a gathering of all model Phantoms is proposed. Expressions of Interest are sought from fellow Club members and friends for a weekend of regional motoring based in Tamworth. It is envisioned this will include a visit to the picturesque village of Nundle, a public display of cars at a prominent location with media coverage, a visit to the theatre for a “70s Revival” show, as well as other sightseeing, picnics and relaxed restaurant meals. Those with an interest in Country Music will, of course, be well catered for. If there is sufficient interest mini overlanders may also be included.

An attendance by about 20 cars would be ideal. Pricing and an itinerary will follow asap after numbers are confirmed.
